Little Joe and his buddy Charly live in a small town in the Ruhr area. They belong to a clique and are just finishing their locksmith apprenticeship. They celebrate and enjoy their adult life. Charly is in love with his sister's girlfriend. Joe, on the other hand, likes Heike, who already has a boyfriend. When Heike becomes pregnant, a network of relationships develops.
