Storyline:  Laura fakes her death in order to escape her violent and controlling husband, Martin. She moves to Iowa and adopts a new identity, and begins dating a professor, Ben. When Martin discovers that his wife may not be dead but in hiding and with a new life, he chases after her in order to find her. A psychological thriller with many surprises that was a box office hit, starring Julia Roberts in a mesmerizing performance.
