Scotty Smalls is a new kid in the neighborhood who wants to fit in and learn about baseball. Luckily, Benny Rodriguez, the respected baseball expert of the community, takes Scotty under his wing. Together with a group of local baseball enthusiasts, they have exciting adventures, such as building a treehouse for sleepovers and navigating the complexities of young love.
