Sense and Sensibility (1995)

When Mr. Dashwood dies, his family's finances are left in a delicate situation, while his daughters, Elinor and Marianne, struggle for love at a time in their lives that is fluctuating in all aspects. Based on Jane Austen's classic, this Ang Lee-directed film received an Oscar for its screenplay written by Emma Thompson, who co-stars alongside Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant and Alan Rickman. It's a clever, moving, entertaining and beautifully made film not to be missed.
