Storyline:  Written and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz this 90's black and white film is about the hatred of a group of French youths who rebel against the authorities. After a beating by the police, a young man ends up in the hospital on the verge of death. His friends, Vinz, Said and Hubert take a policeman hostage and threaten to kill him if their friend does not survive the beating. With a brilliant performance by Vincent Cassel this movie is a must in terms of French contemporary filmography.
