The Postman (1994)

Set on a small Italian island in the 1950s, the film follows the friendship between Mario, a humble letter carrier, and the renowned Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, who is exiled there. While bringing mail to Neruda, Mario becomes fascinated by poetry and words. Over time, he not only learns to see the world in a more poetic way, but also uses this new language to conquer Beatrice, the woman he loves.
