Unlikely Angel (1996)

There is some suggestive content, mostly within the first 10 minutes. A woman is shown singing in a bar, flirting with a bunch of men. The song she is singing has some innuendo lyrics ("cutest little butt," "I'm gonna ring your Christmas chime"). While she is singing, a man is briefly, inconspicuously shown placing his hand on her backside, and she removes it.

A woman walks up to a man's truck and knocks on the foggy window. The man sits up in the driver's seat and rolls down the window. A woman sits up in the passenger's seat, implying that the two were making out. Her blouse appears to be unbuttoned, although it is not clearly shown. The other woman asks her if he was showing her "how to shift his gears."

A man and a woman have a conversation that implies that the two have been unfaithful, with him claiming "there's not a man in three states that you haven't come onto." They talk about "last Christmas," saying that they "had fun," implying something sexual.

An angel tells a woman trying to earn her angel wings to be careful about her "affections for the opposite sex."

A woman massages a man's shoulders, and he moans in pleasure until a Bible falls off the bookshelf, reminding the woman to be careful. Although nothing happens between the two, the scene is briefly suggestive.

A woman in her nightrobe walks down the stairs, approaches a man sitting on the couch in his night robe, and the two share a somewhat lengthy passionate kiss and embrace. It turns out to be just a dream, and the woman is again warned by an angel.

A woman wears low-cut blouses and dresses that show cleavage and/or accentuate her large bust throughout the film.

Several heated arguments between characters. The strongest of these takes place in a Christmas tree lot when a man is showing his son how to chop down a tree. The two argue, and the boy throws the axe down angrily. The man grabs the boys arm and yells at him, and the boy runs off crying.

A woman driving a car at night sees a dear, swerves to miss it, and drives her car into a tree. We see the crashed vehicle and her head resting against the window (no blood, it just appears that she is sleeping). Right afterward, we find out that the car crash killed her.

A teenage girl is seen shoplifting, stuffing a CD into her jacket. She is later shown in the custody of mall police.

"Hell" is used 3 times including 1 time in a song, but only one use is a true profanity. Some name-calling, nothing too strong.

The movie's opening scene takes place in a bar, where pitchers, glasses, and bottles of beer are shown numerous times on the tables and in the hands of people. A woman advises the crowd not to "drink too much." This scene lasts about 3 minutes.

The car crash scene at the beginning could possibly be unsettling to some, particularly really young viewers, but it is unlikely that it would cause any real unrest as it is brief and completely non-graphic.

Some of the heated arguments, especially the one taking place in the tree lot, are emotionally charged.

Although the film is quite comical, themes of death, dying, and the loss of loved ones are present throughout the film. Hell is referenced by the sound effect of a roaring fire three times.
