Storyline:  Nanni, a celebrated filmmaker, abandons his musical on the very first day of shooting after a sudden change of heart. Inspired instead to capture the Italian national elections, he begins a documentary, though progress is slow and exasperates the crew. Torn between artistic duty and personal joy, Nanni is consumed by the arrival and early life of his newborn son.
