Aire libre (1996)

Two very naive European Humanists join forces with a young Venezuelan school teacher in the late 1800's, and set off into the depths uncharted jungle in search of the mythical river Casiquare. They expect a n excursion through a begnign natural wonderland. They experience something else entirely.
