The film begins in a smoke-filled screening room where censors are watching a movie. The projectionist unfortunately starts off with the last reel in which a youth opens fire with an automatic weapon on people playing strip poker. The film starts again with the opening title repeated, but the action now takes place in medieval times in a country like Georgia where a king, setting off to battle, locks his queen in a chastity belt. She has a spare key, and the returning, triumphant king has her beheaded for infidelity, This is intercut with urban fighting in a modern city with the same actors appearing in similar roles during the Communist period. Final scenes are among exiled Georgians in Paris.
