Jørgen von Hejden is probably called von and is fine by birth, but he is a poor pianist and an incorrigible player. When he marries the shipowner's daughter Marianne, it is only for the money. But already on the wedding night, Jørgen has to realize that Marianne is more than just a beautiful ATM.
