The Little People (1990)

After an argument with his girlfriend Alice, Oscar leaves the apartment. Along the way, he runs into a little boy called Jan and takes him home. The boy show peculiar habits like saving incomprehensible stuff and he eats only dry bread. Oscar and Alice take care of him until he's suddenly gone. In his search for Jan, Oscar encounters the cult of the "Little People". He joins under a false name and participates in meditative exercises. Soon Alice notices changes in him. And from nowhere, Jan appears.
