The Postman (1997)

In a post-apocalyptic, neo-Western America, set in 2013, the story unfolds sixteen years after catastrophic events and plagues disrupted civilization and erased advanced technology. The film revolves around a wandering drifter who stumbles upon a postal mail carrier uniform. Unwittingly, he sparks hope with a promise of a "Restored United States of America" and begins his journey toward becoming a national hero.
