Naar man kun er ung (1943)

During a holiday in the Danish summer country, the painting professor Bang meets the young farmer's son Peter. When Bang discovers that Peter is hiding a talent for painting, he invites him to his school in Copenhagen. Peter's father, however, is very much against the son choosing art as his way of life, and the message is clear: It will be at his own expense. But one day Peter is still standing at Copenhagen Central Station without much other baggage than his big dreams and the dog "Fools".
