Ivan and Alexandra (1989)

Set in 1952, a time of confusion and fanaticism, Ivan's naive make-believe story about guns found in a cave unintentionally betrays his closest family friends. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Aleksandra, the daughter of a partisan facing persecution, and defends her in front of the class.
