The Jumping Jeweller of Lavender Bay (1971)

A bored jeweller who lives in the Sydney suburb of Lavender Bay is running late for his morning ferry to work. He dashes down the wharf, leaps, and to the great delight of his fellow bored commuters, just makes it. Next morning he does the same thing, and then the next and the next. The tension and his notoriety builds. For anyone lucky enough to track this wonderful old short film we'll leave it there. I rented this film as a kid from a film co-op in the Sydney suburb of Leichhardt, operated by Phillip Noyce who would become one of Australia's most respected Directors.
