Fate Writes History (1957)

On a cold Christmas Eve night, abandoned by her unscrupulous lover, desperate Anna finds herself forced to give up her newborn daughter for adoption to a couple whose baby died in childbirth, without knowing who they are. As one thing leads to another, Anna has a chance encounter with her little daughter three years later, and, not knowing who she is, she accepts the generous offer of her legally blind father, Kostas, to work as a live-in governess. But, her unaware foster mother, Sivylla, is harbouring a scandalous secret. Will fate write its own story?
