The Sundial (1997)

A semi-documentary collection of loose episodes create a poetical story of independent director Andrzej Kondratiuk, obsessed to make a movie about his life and marriage with actress Iga Cembrzynska. Ageing loving couple lives close to the nature in an austere country hut by a river, and overcomes marriage problems, connected mostly with the director's affection to young actresses. The effect is a magical story about love, affection, nature and passing time.
