The Outlaw Breaker (1927)

Cattleman York Darnell has promised his mother never to carry a gun because his late father was murdered as a result of the ongoing feud between the sheepherders and cattlemen. Darnell is puzzled about the involvement in the feud of sheepherder Allenby, whose daughter Wanda is Darnell's sweetheart. Unknown to Darnell, Allenby is secretly in the pay of Jim Kincaid, a renegade cattlemen. When Allenby and Kincaid quarrel, Kincaid kills the sheepherder and frames Darnell for his murder. Darnell escapes, and after his mother frees him from his promise, is able to disarm an assassin sent after him by Kincaid. Darnell and his friends succeed in triumphing over Kincaid and the sheepherders, and soon after, Darnell plans his future with Wanda.
