Pendennis (1916)

Arthur "Pen" Pendennis is a spoiled but brilliant young man of the English upper class. He seems likely to waste his life in casual romances and dissolution, but eventually his light-hearted approach to love turns back on him, and he sees the unhappiness he has caused. With the help of his adopted sister Laura, he sets out to live a new life of meaning.
