Aelita, the Queen of Mars (1924)

A cryptic radio message stirs the mind of engineer Los, who becomes consumed by visions of Mars. As he drifts further into obsession, he imagines the enigmatic Queen Aelita watching him through a telescope, her curiosity growing into something more. Haunted by jealousy and betrayal on Earth, Los takes drastic measures, assuming a new identity to escape the planet and join the Queen on the Red Planet.
