The Unknown (1927)

Alonzo, a criminal hiding in a circus, performs as "The Armless Wonder," concealing his real arms and a deformity that could expose him. His obsession with Nanon, the ringmaster's daughter, is complicated by her phobia of male touch, which makes her feel safe around him. Malabar, the circus strongman, also seeks Nanon's affection. Alonzo’s jelousy leads him to plot Malabar’s demise during a dangerous act.
