Sunrise (1927)

A married farmer falls for a seductive city woman who urges him to drown his wife so they can run away together. Overcome by passion, he agrees and takes his unsuspecting wife out in a boat, but when the moment comes, he can't go through with it. Terrified, she flees to the city, where he desperately seeks her forgiveness.
