Storyline:  Sir Miles Gaffney is an Irishman landlord whose love for the tenants living on his estate is leading him to absolute poverty. In a last ditch attempt to stabilize his condition, he sells his stable of racehorses to a wealthy American, Orville Finch. But he also takes with him a young jockey, Neil Ross, who is in love with Sheila, Sir Miles's daughter. Facing injury and a broken heart, Neil must win the Shamrock Handicap to turn his and Sheila's family's fortune.
