Doctor X (1932)

The main character goes into a "cat house" or brothel to make a phone call, though it is only inferred and never explained or referred to as such in the story. He looks suggestively and makes flirtatious comments at the women who were scantily clad for the time but are fully covered. Children today would likely think the women are simply in their pajamas; they are all wearing long silk nightgowns plus flimsy wraps over them.

The doctor's daughter is wearing only her silk nightgown during the crime reenactment when she is assaulted by the monster.
