The Skin Game (1931)

In a quiet English village, a bitter feud erupts between the old-money Hillcrists and the ambitious Hornblowers, a newly wealthy industrialist family. Mr. Hornblower, a ruthless land developer, evicts tenant farmers from property he acquired from the Hillcrists, violating a prior agreement. When he sets his sights on more land to expand his factories, the Hillcrists, desperate to preserve their pastoral way of life, fight back.
