Juno and the Paycock (1930)

In 1922 Dublin, during the Irish Civil War, Jack, a lazy and deceptive man, relies on his hardworking wife, Juno, to support their family. Their son, Johnny, is a war casualty, while their daughter, Mary, works to make ends meet. When a lawyer informs them of a possible inheritance, they begin spending the anticipated fortune before it arrives. But their hopes shatter when the inheritance is lost due to a mistake, and the family's troubles deepen.
