Mary of Scotland (1936)

Mary Stuart, the widowed Queen of France, returns to Scotland in 1561 to reclaim her throne, facing opposition from her Protestant family and other nobles wary of her Catholic faith. Despite resistance, she charms her court and regains support from other houses. Pressured into marriage, Mary endures betrayal and violence. Political intrigue soon spirals into civil war, forcing her to an impossible decision.
