Storyline:  Set in 19th-century Vienna, the story follows Johann Strauss Jr., an aspiring composer struggling under the shadow of his father, the renowned Johann Strauss Sr., who belittles his son’s musical ambitions. Schani, as Jr. is called, finds solace in his love for Resi, a baker’s daughter, who inspires his work. However, their romance is tested when Countess Helga, captivated by Schani's talent, commissions him to set her verses to music.
