Outside These Walls (1939)

Dan Sparling (Michael Whalen) is a brilliant, crusading journalist, but also a man with a prison record, earned after he had embezzled to meet the needs of an extravagant wife. He plunges into the fury of a political campaign, with the opposing newspaper being owned by Margaret Bronson (Dolores Costello).
