Young Mr. Lincoln (1939)

Before he became a national icon, the film explores the formative years of Abraham Lincoln as he transitions from a humble storekeeper to a determined young lawyer in Illinois. After a family trades a law book for groceries, Lincoln begins studying law, encouraged by his first love, Ann Rutledge.
