Maddalena, Zero for Conduct (1940)

Elisa, a young teacher, writes romantic letters to Mr. Hartman, an imaginary character found in a textbook. Maddalena, one of the students, finds a letter and sends it to the recipient. After a while, the real Mr. Hartman shows up at school.
