Submarine Patrol (1938)

Perry Townsend, a wealthy playboy turned navy engineer, is assigned to the rundown submarine chaser SC599 during World War I. Led by Lieutenant Drake, a demoted officer seeking redemption, the crew of misfits trains to become battle-ready. Perry falls for Susan, daughter of Captain Leeds. But when Perry proposes to Susan, their plans get interrupted as SC599 embarks on a dangerous mission to Italy.
