In Revolutionary-era America, newlyweds Gilbert and Lana Martin leave her wealthy family’s home to start a frontier life on Gil’s farm in the Mohawk Valley, upstate New York. As war breaks out, the valley becomes a battleground, with British Loyalists and Native American allies attacking the settlers. Gil fights alongside the militia, enduring ambushes, battles, and near defeat, while the valley’s settlers strive to protect their homes and families.
