Melody of the Plains (1937)

When Cass and his gang attack Steve Condon and his trail herders, it apears that Steve kills his own man Bud. Later when Steve and Fuzzy take jobs on Langley's ranch, they find that Bud was his son. Cass and Scar are after Langley's cattle and to get rid of Steve they tell Langley that he shot his son.
