Mashenka (1942)

Telegraph operator Mashenka Stepanova is a sanitary worker. During a drill, she meets taxi driver Aleksey Solovyov. Because of Aleksey's infatuation with another girl, Masha breaks up with him. They will meet again only for a few minutes during the Finnish War: Aleksey is a tanker who, after being wounded, is sent on leave for 12 days, and Masha is a nurse who has just returned from the front line.
