Joseph and Maria have a theater company in Nazi-occupied Warsaw; on the other hand, their great admirer is Sobinski, a Polish lieutenant who escapes to England with other acquaintances and unknowingly gives data of his friends and family to a German spy. An amusing satire, between parody and farce, as well as the last film in which Carole Lombard participated.
