Storyline:  On the brink of World War II, a British officer pauses at Waterloo Bridge, swept back in memory to the start of the First World War and to Myra, the young ballerina he loved. Their brief romance was shattered when Myra, punished for staying past curfew with him, was dismissed from the ballet and left to struggle for survival on the streets of London. Believing her beloved Roy to have died at the front, she descended into despair. But Roy was not lost to war. When fate brings them together again, Myra clings to the hope that those harrowing years may fade like a nightmare, as Roy welcomes her into the warmth of his family estate.
