Barbablù (1941)

American young millionaire Lilian Barrett, tired of living a superficial life, decides to escape a marriage she doesn't want. She runs away from home and settles with an unrepentant and misogynistic bachelor, in his yacht. Lillian falls in love with him and does everything to win his heart, but for some reason, he was nicknamed Bluebeard by a revengeful former lover... After a series of misunderstandings, Lilian achieves her goal: the two discover soul mates, and embark on an intense love affair.
