The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948)

Two down-on-their-luck Americans, Dobbs and Curtin, struggle to find work in 1925 Mexico. They meet an old prospector, Howard, who convinces them to seek gold in the Sierra Madre. Against harsh terrain, bandits, and their own greed, they strike it rich—but success turns to peril as distrust grows, and their expedition spirals into disaster.
