Jenny and the Soldier (1947)

At a bar, soldier Robert sits complaining his lonely distress to the bartender. The shy saleswoman Jenny is in the same place to meet her horror copy of a boyfriend. As he tries to drink her drunk against her will, Robert steps in. A brawl develops, and it's Robert who follows Jenny home. A delicate and fine infatuation arises between them. But as Jenny both loses her job and is accused by the police of a past crime, the future looks bleak for the soldier and especially Jenny.
