During Nazi-occupied Rome in 1944, Luigi Ferraris, alias Giorgio Manfredi, a key figure in the Resistance, seeks refuge with Francesco and his fiancée Pina. As the Nazis intensify their hunt, Pina's sacrifices and the Resistance's struggle against brutality become central.
