The Body Snatcher (1945)

In 1831 Edinburgh, a brilliant but troubled doctor finds himself ensnared by a menacing cab driver who supplies him with illegal cadavers for his medical studies. As the doctor becomes increasingly desperate, he recruits a young assistant, only to have the assistant uncover the gruesome truth behind their source of bodies. When a local girl’s fate becomes intertwined with the sinister dealings, his dark secrets threaten to unravel.
