Storyline:  Joan Webster, a determined Englishwoman, plans to marry wealthy industrialist Robert Bellinger on Kiloran Island in the Hebrides. On her journey from Manchester, she becomes stranded on the Isle of Mull by fierce winds. While waiting to continue her trip, she meets Torquil McNeil, whose presence leads her to question her ambitions and the life she thought she wanted.
