Storyline:  Totò, a young boy in post war Milan, is found in a cabbage patch and raised by the wise Lolotta. He then fosters a community spirit among Milan's squatters with his unwavering optimism and openheartedness. When oil is discovered beneath their makeshift homes, eviction looms, but with the help of a magical dove that grants wishes and Totò's steadfast belief, they'll defy eviction through any means possible.
