Storyline:  In Stockholm, fashion photographer Susanne Frank misses her married lover Henrik Lobelius, who lives in Gothenburg with his wife and children. Meanwhile, twenty-year-old model Doris has a troubled relationship with her boyfriend Palle. Susanne arranges a photo shoot in Gothenburg with Doris and uses the trip to see Henrik. In the city, Doris meets an elegant middle-aged man, Consul Otto Sönderby, who showers her with gifts and takes her to an amusement park before inviting her to his mansion, where they are interrupted by his spiteful daughter. Susanne’s own affair with Henrik is cut short by his cynical wife. These encounters lead both women to reconsider what love really means.
