Seven Samurai (1954)

In 16th-century Japan, a poor village suffers constant raids from bandits. Desperate, the farmers seek help from veteran samurai Kambei Shimada, who recruits six others to protect them in exchange for food. The samurai train the villagers in self-defense and fortify the town, preparing for the imminent invasion.
