Tokyo Story (1953)

Elderly couple Shukishi and Tomi travel from their small village to Tokyo to visit their adult children. Their son, a doctor, and their daughter, a hairdresser, are too busy to entertain them and see the visit as an obligation. Only their widowed daughter-in-law, Noriko, seems to show them kindness.
