Storyline:  Henri Danglard, owner of the failing café 'Le Paravent Chinois' and lover of dancer Lola, visits Montmartre circa 1890, where the cancan still thrives. Inspired, he plans to revive the dance in a new popular venue, spotting Nini, a laundress with natural talent. However, jealousy and complications soon arise, threatening his ambitions.
