Irma la Douce (1963)

Disgraced police officer Patou finds himself navigating the vibrant but chaotic red-light district of Paris. After a failed attempt to clean up the area lands him jobless, he falls for Irma La Douce, a charismatic prostitute. Jealous of her clients, Nestor devises a plan: he creates an alter-ego, the wealthy but impotent Lord X, to become her sole customer. However, his double life spirals out of control, leading to troubling misunderstandings.
